Homeschooling is the education of children at their own home under the tutelage of a parent or tutor/teacher. A cottage school, or tutor center, is a small independent school with a homeschooling-type methodology and/or worldview.
Yes. We provide you with a transfer card, together with your child's portfolio, when they leave. Learners can be accepted into both government and private schools after having attended a cottage school, tutor centre or having been homeschooled.
We use an independent curriculum up to grade 00, and then Impaq from grade R to grade 7
We are not a remedial school. However, our small classes allow for teachers to meet our learners' individual needs. Although we have excellent schools in the area, we support the idea that not all children necessarily adapt well into a mainstream classroom dynamic, so cottage schools tend to be a good option for learners who prefer a quieter, more mindful, space.
We follow the 4-term, government school terms.

Playball, Music minds, Pottery and Robotics are offered during school hours. These activities are worked into the school curriculum.
